Sushi Yoru is fantastic! I have been coming here for years and have lunch pretty regularly. The food is always fresh and made to order. They also offer sushi platters which are not only delicious, but beautiful and also a great value. The pictures are of a takeout order I did a couple of days ago. The sushi platter includes edamame, dumplings, and four miso soups. This was a delicious and filling meal for four people. The restaurant is owned by an older couple with husband as the sushi chef and the wife taking care of the customers and the phone. They are very nice and friendly. Disregard the a-hole who left the one-star review because the restaurant was closed. The husband recently had eye surgery and they were closed while he recovered and the wife took care of him. This place is worth a visit and I suggest calling ahead to make sure they are open.

A very tiny restaurant, cozy and personal. The sushi chef is excellent, the fish is very fresh. Miso soup that came with sushi was incredible. Service very friendly and pleasant. I'm so glad i found this little gem.

Great food in a strip mall. If you are looking for delicious and a good price… this is it! My tuna dragon was awesome. The seaweed salad perfect. The free miso soup was good. All the rolls we had were tasty. Big order of edamame but a little bland. Mom and pop ran the place. I’d go back if I’m ever here again

Since moving to the area almost 2 years ago, my husband and I really enjoy good sushi, and this place is truly a hidden gem! We’ve tried a couple of other local places, but honestly, this is the one place we just always go to when the craving for amazing sushi hits! The owners are very nice and friendly. I believe it’s just them there, too. The female owner is always pleasant on the phone when we call to place our large order! Her husband (I think) is the sushi “chef.” Most times you do have to order a little in advance for takeout/pickup, but I promise it’s worth the wait! It’s fresh and made-to-order, just like great sushi should be! Every roll is perfection and made with care, and very tasty! We’ve never had a bad experience here, ever. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive because we need it!! Hands down, the best sushi we’ve ever had! If you haven’t tried it, just do it!

Can't say enough good things! The food was outstanding. The place is run by the sweetest people. Very attentive, even when they were busy. And I'm so glad they were so busy. They deserve it!! The ramen was fantastic. I loved the ginger dressing on the mini salad. So much, I poured the dregs into a soy sauce bowl and dunked my deep fried sweet potato roll. Delish!!!

This is easily the most fresh, tasty, and more than reasonably priced sushi I’ve ever had. The entire experience, atmosphere, and dishes felt like home cooking in a really good way. I’m literally going back tomorrow, and would recommend anyone to eat here.

One of the best sushi places I've experienced in Chicagoland. The owners are very friendly and polite and the chef is absolutely masterful. Watching the food be made was a genuine treat. Everything is high quality and delicious. Will be visiting again (and again) for sure!

I really enjoyed their sushi, rolls, soup etc. everything we’ve tried is delicious. We ordered the food to go. Great customer service. I recommend this place
